Around 821 million people in the world are hungry. Every ten seconds a child dies of hunger. And yet around 1,555 million tons of food are thrown away every year.

An estimated 4.8 to 12.7 million tons of plastic waste end up in the oceans each year. Fishermen lose their nets on the high seas or simply throw broken nets overboard. Whales, dolphins and other marine mammals get entangled in it and drown in agony.

Since 1994, a total of 28 trillion tons of ice have disappeared from the earth's surface due to global warming. The reason, is of course, the human race that ignores such facts simply because it is out of their comfort zone.
